- Edited 6 months agoOne of my favorite (re-)releases from 2023. Such a great collection of songs, and this pressing does justice to them - it is very quiet, with excellent sound quality and clear separation. There were only 500 copies pressed as far as I know, so prices are already skyrocketing... but it is worth it!

A lost gem from the early 1970s,shame the artist only made the one solo album.
I also wonder what honeybus could have achieved had he not left to go solo.
If this album was released on the vertigo swirl label collectors would be raving about it.
We can but wonder ! - Como puede ser que un album que solo dura 32 minutos sea tan caro y ademas una reedición que ha salido hace unos meses?

This is easily among the best albums I've ever heard. Each song carries a classic 60s sense of optimism, yet it manages to portray some deeper and less delightful emotional undertones. The melodies are incredible, reminding me of both The Beatles and Queen in such a unique way.
Among the best parts of this masterpiece are the vocals. "There Is Nothing I Can Do For You" is a great example of his rich voice, managing to stand out even without much instrumentation backing his vocals. Truly, it's amazing to hear and it continues to perplex me that this album continues to remain unnoticed.
Perhaps the most beautiful component of this album is its poignancy and depth. It contrasts the Baroque Pop era's often unrelenting optimism and instead embraces the emotional callus of life but still with the optimism of a new beginning. This isn't off theme for Pete Dello, many of his lyrics are quite poetic and present metaphors with intentional obscurity.
To say this album is underrated is an understatement, its quality is similar to that of the best albums in rock history. This is among the brightest hidden gems in all of rock and is 100% worth a listen.- As the liner notes say "unless you were in a record store in England or Australia in the early 70s you have never heard this album like this" This is a superlative release of a tragically unknown masterpiece.
- Edited one year agoSuperb reissue of this cult classic with exellent sound quality.
At long last a decent vinyl release with fantastic roger dean gatefold/poster/liner notes insert & limited to 500 copies.
Worth the admission price alone for the sublime "Do i still figure in your life".
Highly recommended. referencing Into Your Ears (LP, Album, Reissue) GKL007
