This sounds incredible! One of the best sounding records in my collection!- great recording- everything sounds nice and present, especially the bass which is featured at times. My copy has a very deep bottom end, vinyl is relatively quiet. Nice outing for the band.

Side 1 is mind blowing but my side 2 is distorted throughout. Anyone else have this issue or just my copy?- Edited 7 months agoWow. Great pressing and great music. It’ s flat, it’s quiet. The gatefold cover has a nice textured, tactile feel. The sonics - music and mastering - is also top notch. I find nothing to complain about with this pressing.

Played back in stereo, the content is 10/10 but I'm afraid the sound is 5/10 at best. My VG+ copy has nice separation and width but the upper midrange is shrill and the bottom end is nearly non-existent. - Edited 16 days ago

How remiss of me to not go into detail about the fabulous bonus disc(sides 3&4).
It IS mastered and pressed to the same high standard as the album here and have
tracks that equal or "better" ones from the original LP,I would personally state that the
1st three are EASILY as good as anything on the OG album, with "Banbeye" being over
10mins long you really get the full Jazz/Latin South American experience of the track!
Regards
Musically this is very similar to "Abraxas" with Great instrumentals and vocal tracks.
This M.O.V like every other one I`ve owned is Excellent - it beats my Speakers Corner "Caravanserai" pure analogue edition(which is bested by my 20003 cd copy of "Caravanserai" https://www.discogs.com/release/3435189-Santana-Caravanserai).
Glass flat vinyl, sounds like how "pure analogue" should sound(take note speakers corner!) but probably isn`t,if I play my OG (only a VG copy) 1st press with groove wear edition of "Abraxas" ,"Speakers Corner "Caravanserai" and this the odd one/worse sound quality is the Speakers Corner "Caravanserai" which I still rate at 4.5 stars - this is how good this is.
No sibilance no surface noise well centered spindle hole and a nicer album cover on a x2 vinyl release.
More dynamics than you can shake a stick at with air & ambiance too.
Highly recommended thank you for reading five stars*****

Phono Stage:Whest Audio TWO.2 class a - I have never been a big rock fan. There are a few songs from the 60s, 70s, and 80s that I like. However, Latin Rock is something I would listen to whenever I come across it. I have not found many, but I would say that my favorite latin rock album is called Cristo Paz Y Amor by Mana Peniel...and yes...this is christian rock by this group from Puerto Rico released in 1972. The next latin rock album I love is this particular by Santana. It is the best secular latin rock album I own.
