Beautiful pressing. Silent background, great sound stage, produces so much detail. Gorgeous album too.

Translucent, back cover upside down, matrix has EUR 4 on Side 1 an EUR 3 on Side 2. Greyish-green when held to light. As I wrote for Solitude Standing, the following probably pertains here: This seems to have been a Monarch pressing to all intents and purposes, if that's anything to go by (Monarch was bought by Viewlex and renamed Electrosound Group Midwest for a while, acc. to Discogs).

This album is just spectacular,saw her on two concerts in Helsinki(Finland)back in the day when music actually ment something.Every song is just good,a very autumnal feeling,Marlene on the wall really says it all.Oh happy days.

Pretty sure this is the copy I have. It has RCA3 on the matrix runout on side B (Two). So, third listening since I got this sealed copy today. Sounds really, really good to me. Very clean copy with no real extra noise at all. On the second listening I also loaded my CD version (1985 A&M Records CD 5072) in my Oppo 103 and cued up the same songs on both versions to compare. Just kept changing the input source on the receiver to compare. Without a doubt the LP is richer and stronger sounding. Like to the extent there was no doubt which was better. The Oppo is connected via 7 channel component audio inputs while the LP was played on my old Technics SL-D30 with an upgraded with a modest LP Tunes T4P REFERENCE SERIES VL Phono Cartridge. iFi Audio Zen preamp used with the turntable. No audio processing by the receiver.

Anyone else's copy of this one have the back of the cover printed upside down???

Bought this on release and just played it for the first time in forever. Had forgotten how good this album is but it's also a really wonderful pressing, my copy still plays quietly and her voice and the instruments sound so natural, really jumping from the speakers. I see you can get NM copies of this for next to nothing so do yourself a favour and grab one, you won't regret it.

The variant I have has the following date/stamper code - "1/89 1DA1" with the catalog number being the same.

This is very nice pressing with beautiful sound. The sound is warm and crisp.

I pulled this out of my long-stored collection and was surprised how fresh and dynamic her performance sounds after 37 years. I purchased this at Tower Hollywood after hearing Marlene On the Wall on KCRW. My favorite album of hers. This disk has been easily obtained at bargain bins. Disk is smoky translucent when held up to a bright light. The LA pressing is excellent with broad soundstage, punchy dynamics and luminous acoustic guitars. Highly recommended.
