Flawed release - avoid it. The entire run should be recalled.

I've tried 3 different copies of this pressing and they all have two skips in the exact same parts of 'The Road Kill', so I guess QC took the day off on this one. It's incredibly lame for a record label to have the gall to charge $50 for an album and then deliver a defective product. I give up. The rest of the pressing sounds great, especially the second disc.

First off…. I have to admit that I’m not a FLA fan. Never have been and never will be. However, I do enjoy the side projects from the band members of FLA. I’m a huge Skinny Puppy fan though… So… when I first heard this album back in the 90s I had mixed emotions about it. It took some time to grow on me. The track I could never get enough of is “ Nothing Stays”! Just an absolute masterpiece! I definitely have some appreciation for this project over the years. For some it’s a hard pill to swallow and I get it but all I can say is if you give it a few rotations you’ll start to see the magic unfold.

I’m in heavy anticipation for the new album, Endgame. It won’t be the same without Goettel but Fulber is an amazing replacement!

If you like the Caustic Grip era of FLA then this is for you.

I...do not. You can hear the rudimentary beginnings of the FLA sound with some moments of clever programming, but it's far from the densely layered stuff they're doing today. But hey what do you expect this was made over 30 years ago. I would love for Bill Leeb to revisit this album and remake it with the technology he employs today.

Honestly, I tried to like this. I really did. There's nothing horrible about this, but to me this feels like B sides that sit somewhere in-between Skinny Puppy's Mind album and Front Line Assembly's Caustic Grip album that were scraped midway through - which is a shame as I was expecting so much, much more from a super-group consisting of members in the groups previously mentioned, of which I enjoy immensely.

The songs feel long and there isn't as much density as it could have considering the background of these two groups. The grooves and beats had me subconsciously tapping my foot and nodding my head a bit, but they're nothing I haven't heard before and throughout the whole thing I felt like turning on early Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly instead and just listening to them.

I recall reading somewhere claiming that both cEvin and Dwayne stated this album was more-or-less a mistake or a regret. I'm not too sure how true that is, but if it is I can understand why and that it really says something about just how boring and lifeless this record and collaboration really is. On the dim-lit side of things, this album is fairly cheap and if you have an itch for the early sound of both bands this should satisfy it a bit.

I feel that this test pressing sounds far superior to the European release. I am wondering how many copies of this test pressing were made?

Sounds excellent. Nice package of the full length album and 2 ep's. All you need right here for this legendary side project.

One of the finest industrial albums of all time. It's a shame more collaborations like this didn't happen, but at least we have what we have!
