Quite possibly the first tech house record ever. Lovely work from the Red Nail trio.

Science Of Numbers 6:40 uses the sample "The first job we have to do is to identify that your loud speakers are connected correctly" from this record https://www.discogs.com/Robert-Dougall-BBC-Stereo-Test-Disc/master/884406 . Symbols & Instruments ‎– Science Of Numbers is a highly underrated piece of Techno-House-Techno. I wouldn't even say it was Detroit Techno sound as it seems to stand alone especially with the TB303 break beat driven masterpiece that is for me sheer brilliance! My copy is in need of going to the scrap heap as it's been heavily played since 1989! Blimey ;) P.s. if you love your Jungle Techno sound then check out https://www.discogs.com/Digitech-Imperial-Stix-EP/release/319137 as Dillinja samples Mood (Metaphysical Mix) on the A1 Untitled track. Ps. And a BIG p.s. Do not forget about the other two guys who wrote and produced this. C. Nazuka* and M. Farina* !

One of the best records to be labelled house / techno

What an E.P, this is truly pioneering, with the mix & depth of tracks on here.
Mood "Optimystic Mix" is probably the better known track, with its Techno percussive loops, that are very distinctive and start to drop into warmer lush warm synths as the track evolves, giving the track a rich warm feel in parts but then dropping out to the sparseness of the percussion. Such a great innovative E.P. the only way to experience it is to have a listen & don't spear the dial - play it loud !

Best thing Derek Carter ever was involved in imho.

Four track e.p which originally surfaced on Kevin Saunderson’s KMS imprint courtesy of that genius Derek Carter. Detroit techno flirts with the most gorgeous blissed out ambiance, which results in a 12 inch which has not dated since the day it was licensed to Birmingham’s Network label.
