A very underrated and undervalued 10" from Mr Holder that is in fact a deep house/Jazzdance classic gem! "Sometimes I'm Blue" is the standout with beautiful piano chords and a groovy rolling upright bass jazz loop that sounds like it could be Miles Davis, coupled with pristinely lifted vocals of Carmen McRae singing "sometimes i'm happy sometimes i'm blue", the song was featured on the renown nu jazz compilation series "Saint-Germain -Des-Prés Café" and I personally first heard it being slammed by Mark Farina at the "Melodic" parties in the late 90's underground LA scene. This is not to be slept on as this song will hold steady for many years to come!

And my copy also has the same label on both sides, but it's "A SOMETIMES I'M BLUE".

This is basically a 10" record pressed on 12". The outer 2 inches are run-in grooves on both sides. However this makes it more practical for dj purposes.

My copy has the A side label on both sides and the A side is "Shadows" instead of "Sometimes..."
