Coolin Out is an underrated gem of a choon. - Nostalgic and the vibe of this one stand out. Even when DnB is death this will be the holy grail.
It's one of my first albums and stil listen to.
The mixalbum quality even gives me that early 90's vibe :-)
Remaster of this? - Here. We. Go. This comp needs very little introduction. Perhaps the most important release of the Jungle era? Who knows... Certainly one of them at least. Essential material and well overdue a repress

Like many, I suspect, this was pretty much the first D&B album I ever owned. One for those, like me, who never set foot in a D&B club but could get the music all the same. Remains one of the best albums of the genre ever made. I've always found this album a curiously relaxing listen which may be due to this collection's deep debt to jazz.
To this day, it's an album I'd recommend as a great gateway into the genre. It calibrates your ears perfectly.- PFM - Danny's Song samples track #17 ("Untitled"/("Z Twig") on Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works Volume II. Quality.
- I'm not sure why this is still my favorite drum and bass album but it is. I think it was the first or second one I ever bought, and I don't think I ever came across another one that I liked as much. It's probably because it has the greatest selection of tracks. It was disappointing when they renamed it logical progression level 1 and re-released it in 2001. All the very best tracks we're now missing and the newly added tracks we're only about half as good as the old ones. On the bright side, there were some great additions like Universal Music and Jazz Lick and several others. It wouldn't have been so bad if the original 1996 release didn't then disappear almost completely so that you can't even find it online to listen to. And I looked everywhere but it's nowhere to be found.
