Before you start your 9-5 grind on a Monday morning, throw this on. The B-side especially with coffee and headphones will wash a welcoming feeling of complacency over you.

I agree this sounds amazing. That said, I had to do some cleaning to get it dead quiet. First I tried ultrasonic cleaning but still heard some surface noise (my guess would be leftover mold release compound from the pressing). I then cleaned it by hand using enzymatic cleaner followed by another ultrasonic cleaning/rinse and now it sounds dead quiet. This doesn't always work on some new pressings but it usually helps and really did a great job on this one.

I'd like to see Bill and Luke Roberts do an album together.

I concur. This is truly wonderful pressing. If you have a top end deck this sounds fantastic. Sounds amazing on my LP12. Bill’s voice sounds so rich and warm it’s like he is in the room with you. With the band playing around him, such a great soundstage, not totally open but true to the studio set, detail with the channels and you can place each instrument in a defined space. Silent vinyl too, I have many nimbus and Mofi records but this tops many of them to my ears...

Fantastic pressing of one of the best albums in recent times. The closeness and intimacy of this vinyl version makes for a sublime listening experience.

Magnificent pressing indeed. Quiet and very acoustic music, mostly made of voice and sweet guitar chords that plays 100% silent of surface noise and high detail. I haven't measured the dynamic range but my guess would be 12 out of 15 in average. Truly audiophile quality.

My copy of Callahan's Apocalypse was somewhat dirty looking (much of the surface looked like it had been scraped somehow), but played perfectly silently - appearance aside, an excellent, silent, flat pressing! Aforementioned visual appearance was a pity though - I think I've heard that this happens sometimes with RTI?
