Just pulled this gem out (I've always referred to this as the Viva Azania LP)...Flat wax, and next to zero surface noise. Yes, if you hold the LP up to a light you can see that it is a super dark transparent Brown. As to the styles on this LP, in some individuals subjective opinion refer to it as a mess...I disagree. This LP goes through a plethora of styles/flavors/mixes of Reggae, Rock, Jazz, Funk, ect...and flows together very smoothly. This is not an LP for the faint of heart or bias that may have pigeon holed their own tastes or HR's. This LP sounds great (with a little sibilance) on my little system...

      (Fluance RT-82 w/Acrylic Platter, ATN-XP cart/5 stylus. Nobsound T3 Phono Amp, Aiyima A07 Pro, Kicker KB6B, & Polk PSW10 Sub...Simple Low Cost Setup)...Happy Listening

This red vinyl version was pressed in 1990 or 1991 when sst repressed about 20 of their better selling records on colored vinyl. Same time as HR "Charge" and "Singing in the Heart".

Fantastic album, a real range of styles that showcase HRs amazing voice well. Plenty of rhythmic twists and some well-placed synth flourishes.

Oh dear. What a completely unfocused mess of a record. Surely a joke . I wondered why these had never been repressed by SST or anyone else . Drugs clearly don’t work wonders for all musicians .
