From the first resonant thump, the grooves evolve into familiar melodies that swirl about the misty playground of one's inner child. Moving Houses...

Any comment on the quality of this pressing, please? Especially if anyone can compare to the regular black edition

Been following Sofia since her debut EP for studio barnhus and can easily say this LP lives up to the hype her previous work created. The press sounds fantastic and really opens up the music and let's everything breathe - perfect for an album with life in the roots of its inspiration.

Sofia Kourtesis is a producer and DJ originally from Lima, Peru, now living and working in Berlin. Her Peruvian heritage influences her music, but she is fully immersed in Berlin's rebending dance scene. Sofia's debut album is a collection of protest chants, club rhythms, and sunlit synths that showcase the spiritual nourishment of dance music.

In "Madres," Sofia demonstrates her ability to merge the electronic music of Berlin with her Peruvian roots. Latin American percussions and Spanish vocals coexist with house beats and warm synth surfaces, creating an interwoven blend of cultures. Sofia Kourtesis captures a warmth few of her contemporaries ever achieve. "Madres" is her first LP after releasing several singles and EPs, and it finds the Peruvian producer infusing storied traditions of deep house and the Berlin nightclub scene with her own unique sound, like a tender embrace in the heat of a crowded dance floor.

"How Music Makes You Feel Better" is a track that showcases the range of emotions Kourtesis can evoke in her music, from skittering house loops to airy vocal exhalations and brief chops of soul singer howls. On "Moving Houses," Kourtesis creates an ambient piece centred on decaying loops of her voice, forsaking beats altogether for a more intimate poignancy.

Sounds good but musically I’ve heard it all before. The resident hipster on the Hoffman forum has been bigging this up as though it is the future of music. He has clearly never been to an Ibiza foam party in the 90s. Maybe they didn’t have fun things like that in Germany ?
So, yeah. Safe and conservative electronic techno. Boring

On my first listen and this sounds a bit special. Beautiful pressing. Sounds fantastic. Ps the heavy crackling sound on the last track is intentional.

Phenomenal pressing. Blown away by the depth and presence of the sound. I love it when vinyl is mastered and pressed like this, creates a whole new beast versus digital. The bass is definitely a bit loud but that works for this type of music and this record over all. Worth buying if you can find a copy!
