        This is an outstanding reissue. Owned it for a while but re-listened today and felt compelled to review here. Remastered at Abbey Road, probably with digital in the chain, but sounds terrific. Detailed, bombastic brass without overshadowing Smith, great soundstage. No idea who was responsible but they deserve kudos for this. Recommended!

          This is a great pressing of an excellent album - spacious and dynamic. The stereo separation is a bit weird - as if the organ was dividing the other players into the left and right sections with nobody in the middle except for Smith. But that's apparently in the original mix.

            Very clear, spacious, detailed. This is like a well-pressed record without the surface noise.

                How do you not hear this and just smile?
                Really fun B3 organ with large orchestra, punchy arrangements with driving percussion throughout.

                Big and full. This is a very loud/hot mix and there is clipping on the horn punches, But not distracting.
                The pressing is excellent.

                  Great dynamics, but on most tracks the horn tutti is very distorted. The cymbals are also consistently distorted. The stereo image is very artificial.

                      Shame the sleeve isn't a gatefold but this is great pressing. Knocked my socks off. I've got an old copy somewhere but I don't remember that sounding this good. Ironic as, having a high end DS, I was starting to wonder why I still bother with vinyl. This gave me an answer.
