Notes
One of the earliest compilations of Chicago-based punk rock bands. With the exception of DA, all the bands were regular performers at the Oz bar, a gay bar which hosted punk rock bands. DA's songs come from their sole performance at Oz. The band was included in exchange for Autumn Records releasing the compilation. The Oz bar closed just after the final recordings for this comp.
The LP remained out of print for nearly 30 years due to disagreements between many involved with the release. Autumn Records authorized a re-release by Permanent Records in 2011.

Mine is signed, but I'm not sure if it's a band member or whoever owned it once upon a time. Bought it used around 2001-02.
Looks like it reads "Santoo D '82" - so maybe Santiago Durango? The S and D overlap. Anyone have a guess?
Killer repress. Jacket is heavy duty and tipped on.
Comes with original labels, insert and printed inner sleeve that is on heavier than normal paper.

The best tune on this album is also Effigies' best tune they ever wrote - and boy, they wrote a lot of great ones - 'Guns Or Ballots' is the epitome of Chicago hardcore. Smart, cocksure, and so powerful, if this doesn't rock yer dick off, nothing ever will..........
