Another routine triumph for Manchesters "Everything Everything". Although not even in the top three of their best albums, this shines brightly in the otherwise bland and talentless current music scene. 14 years ago they assembled their unique fusion of progressive rock and twitchy Indie synth pop, since then they have not messed with the formula. Cold Reactor is an earworm that got them played on Radio One and this album entered at number 9 in the album charts. Other tracks like, Mad Stone, Enter The Mirror and Daggers Edge will slot right into their always strong live shows. This could be the time when the musical taste of a wider audience finally catches up with the band. They have always made high quality smart credible Indie pop and they have a solid back catalogue for new fans to dig in to. Go see them live, oh sorry, tours sold out. Too late.
It's a 100% digital recording, play the CD on decent equipment and it will sound so much better than the GZ media vinyl pressings.

This sounds really good. Didn't expect that. Even better than the Green Pleasant Land variant.

Sounds great but my disc is a bit warped - not so badly that it affects the sound but I'm worried that it's not good for my cart bobbing up and down. Anyone else's like this? Wondering if it's worth the hassle of returning it or if they're all affected.

Between this record and Raw Data Feel, this band is unmatched at pressing such long records on a single piece of vinyl so perfectly. Only a hint of distortion on The Witness, which is at the end of a *30 minute* side B. Needless to say but my copy sounds excellent!

Way to piss buyers off: make some versions gatefold, but not others, but never mention this fact anywhere. Why on earth?

Note: not gatefold like other editions. Does contain lyrics insert/sleeve however.

As for pressing quality, fair amount of surface noise after a deep clean, sounds like pressing issues (wooshing, etc.), disrupts some quiet moments.

Can anyone comment on how this sounds? 55 minutes on a single LP seems crazy?

Wonderful album. Pressing sounds amazing. Words, words, words, words, words.
