This Master contains all full-length Debut releases, some with bonus tracks. Releases with material from Debut are contained within the separate Debut Sampler MR.

The initial UK editions with 11 tracks (standard and limited) were released in July, then in November a 12-track edition (with "Play Dead") was released. In the world, the first edition has 519-715 cat# and the second edition has 521-323 cat#.

Most local releases can be recognised by the local distributor company in the fine print. However, the UK and European releases can be difficult:
The '521 323-2' European CD is available in many similar variants: the detailed description of known versions can be found in the Notes section of this release.
The 'tplp 31 cdx' UK edition has 5 known variants; check the Notes of this release for a detailed description.

          just got it and its a very barebones release with lyrics in japanese and english printed on a plain white sheet and on the other side is what i assume is an essay about the album with credits, the cd is glued to a thin white cardboard sheet, the sleeve on the other hand is pretty thick and good quality, bought it for the novelty but it isn't worth the absurd prices it is currently selling for, also search for pre 2010s japanese editions like this for the exclusive bonus track atlantic, not on spotify or any other country's release

            Now THIS, this is the real deal. I scored a second hand used copy of this pressing and bought it cause I thought "Why not?" And I'm definitely not regretting it! This is the best pressing of Debut I've heard so far, I used to own a 2015 reissue that sounded great, but skipped a lot and ended up selling it to somebody else, since then I've always had this record on the back of my mind thinking "I should get it again one day, when will I do it and which pressing to buy?" Of course I'd have liked to get the double vinyl, DMM. But this pressing that came out that same year is really up to par. All in all, a 10/10 pressing.

                    I finally got my hands on the first press. The album is perfect. I love the atmosphere, production, Björk's accent, it all fits so well together. What dissapointed me a bit is the mastering. The record is very experimental and it demands a more spatial mix. Even though it's very well recorded, it misses a little something something. Maybe the 2008 expensive reissue fixed it!

                      This pressing is very good and it is full of emotion and joy that you can hear on tracks like Venus as a boy and crying. Not much surface noise but my copy does skip oh human behavior but I’m not too bummed because it’s not my favorite track

                        Great sounding pressing. very lively sounding. Everything has its own space to breathe. The ending of Crying where her vocals are phasing in and out of time with each other sounds incredible on here, gave me goosebumps. This is how modern represses should be.
