This pressing sounds insanely good! I compared it to a UK plum 1st press and a US Piros and neither of them are as meaty and boisterous as this.
I am done chasing any iteration of this record.referencing The Yes Album (2×12", 45 RPM, Album, Limited Edition, Numbered, Remastered, 180g, Gatefold) APA 064-45

They haven't released an Atlantic 75 title yet which isn't the absolute best an album could sound.referencing The Yes Album (LP, Album, Limited Edition, Reissue, Stereo, Blue [Sea Blue]) RCV1 585432
Does it sound great? Yes. But my my UK Plum and US white label promo sound better.referencing The Yes Album (LP, Album, Limited Edition, Reissue, Stereo, Blue [Sea Blue]) RCV1 585432
Picked this up and spun it today, I think it sounds great. No issues with my pressing, nice and quiet.- Edited 28 days ago

I usually don't do this, but Fremer triggered me when he was saying in a recent podcast, that he favors the US first (with the 1841 Broadway address) over this A75 reissue.
So I had to compare them and luckily got my hands on a US first in very good shape.
Here's my assessment:
First of all, they are very close in sound signature. Fremer points out that the bass is far better on the US first. This is true to some extent in that the lower bass has a bit more energy. Also the guitar is a bit more prominent on the US original and sounds slightly more real (e.g. on Yours Is No Disgrace you really hear the strings ringing in the solos). I also like the organ sound better on the US.
The A75 on the other hand clearly wins out in dynamics, the quieter parts/the acoustic parts of the album and especially when it comes to Bruford's drums. The better noise floor due to the 45rpm format is self-explanatory.
Still, I concur with Fremer's opinion that the US first is better. Why is that? It's not just about the bass ;) The US first has the more coherent sound in my opinion. You sacrifice some details (quite logical, if you consider how advanced pressing technology is at QRP compared to 70s pressing plants), but you just get a more authentic 70s sound.
Also, the positioning of the instruments is more reasonable to me. In the A75, drums and bass are both very centered which is a bit weird to me, whereas the drums in the US original are are a bit left to the center in the back, which seems like a more natural position in my opinion.
Nonetheless, this is just my humble opinion and since both sound fantastic, you won't regret buying either one of the two! - Edited 19 days ago

This album has always sounded awesome, better than some of what came after. The SW mix is also very good while being sympathetic to the original and it sounds large, rich and just proper good BUT....
Imo this pressing isnt brilliant. There are very audible distortions on a few peaks on Yours Is. I can literally see signs of the grooves looking odd, kind of resembling stitching where it happens. I dont think this is a great pressing and the distortions suck. Bare in mind this is using an AT microline thats aligned properly to boot. With lesser needles expect it to be worse still. Back it goes, i will stick with the black copy and the CD/BR combo referencing The Yes Album (LP, Album, Limited Edition, Reissue, Stereo, Blue [Sea Blue]) RCV1 585432
Before listening- I’m not a fan of the outer sleeve. I bought a Yes album and not a Steven Wilson album. Inner sleeve made of cheap paper and 2 huge scratches on the very lightweight vinyl. Not a great start.referencing The Yes Album (2×12", 45 RPM, Album, Limited Edition, Numbered, Remastered, 180g, Gatefold) APA 064-45

Let me just say that this is as good as it gets in the realm of reissued vinyl (or any format for that matter).
It's in my best sounding records of all time category.- Edited one month ago

Sound is Absolutely Unbelievable! Of course it is! ALL the AP Atlantic 75 series records are Stellar. But this album has Never sounded this good. Absolute Perfection across the board, from the sound to the vinyl quality. I didn’t know I could enjoy this record as much as I do with this, and that says A lot. I’m SO tired of reading the copy/paste comments that the album “wasn’t recorded well in the first place”. It WAS! And this pressing Proves that! A record can only be as good as the source material, No Matter What. This just happens to be the first time this album was mastered and pressed the Way it Should Be! Obviously! Otherwise audiophiles would be comparing it to “such and such” pressing. But they can’t! All they can do is compare to OG US or UK copies. And they’re not great. THIS has Astounding sound. Get it! While it’s still available on Acoustic Sounds. Or “cry later” as Chad Kassem always says.
