I love the album a lot, but even after a deep wet cleaning, my copy has many clicks & pops on my setup. They are really distracting especially for this incredibly haunting album :/- There is the slightest of variation compared to this one, and it m’s best noticed on the labels, i.e. the position of the tiny white Warner logo compared to the “Made in Belgium” https://www.discogs.com/release/3647147-Nico-The-Marble-Index

Would be interested in trading an 8-track for this cassette of the same albumreferencing The Marble Index (LP, Album, Reissue) LP 5131
I have a lot of Sundazed pressing and they’re all really good, this one sounds great too except there is so much surface noice in places it really takes away from how great it sounds. I’m doing some deep cleaning on this one and it helps but doesn’t completely eliminate some of the surface noise.referencing The Marble Index (LP, Album, Reissue) 42065
So, I just got this. I must say when I saw it at the record store I thought it might be a bootleg. It sounds really good. Dead quiet and flat. Never hearing an orig I have only the crappy Sundazed pressing- this is better. For 26 bucks I'd grab it. It sounds very clear and the rawness is very much present in this pressing- which I think all her music captures. It doesn't sound compressed at all.referencing The Marble Index (LP, Album, Mono) EKL 4029
To my knowledge this is a fold down and not a dedicated mono mix.- One nice thing I’ve noticed when collecting Nico’s records is that while originals, and even some reissues, are rare and pricey they were clearly not played much at all and will usually still sound incredible.
For this album(and pressing)in particular Nico’s voice is clear and commanding while the work of Cale and Mohawk comes through like a deliberate assault on the senses. Great stuff. referencing The Marble Index (LP, Album, Reissue) LP 5131
Great natural sound quality on this one. My used copy has some surface noise despite looking clean but very listenable nonetheless.
This is a tremendously powerful and engaging album.
Beautiful stuff.
