Despite being a reissue, this version sounds easily as good as the original, and it matches the CD quality as well as far as being clean with no surface noise. This is a record that demands to played LOUD.

Reviewing here the first of what I hope are all of the newly remastered UFO vinyl reissues. Overall packaging and inside notes are very good. Both lps are heavy and flat and have the old green Chrysalis label which is appropriate. Record one sounds clean and quiet. Record two however is not a great recording, especially Phil's vocal which almost disappears at times. The instruments and especially Michael's guitar shines however. I get it, UFO were a great live band and I've seen them multiple times myself but there are sooooo many live recordings out there being released that it gets overwhelming. I'd really like to see them release these older studio albums on double 45 rpm lps. Now there you'd really have something.

Unfortunately, the recordings on this release were compressed more than the first CD's. Moreover, the sound quality (tonal range) on the 3rd CD containing live recordings from Atlanta 1974 is worse than on bootleg editions, e.g. CD AIR 44 or The Chrysalis Years (1973 - 1979). It is less clear, the vocalist's voice is lost somewhere, disappearing at times.

The audio quality is sub-par. Needs more mids and lows

What an amazing album. Such a powerful sound. Great pressing as well.

Wow, excellent remaster and pressing..my copy is absolutely dead quiet, I didn't hear any surface noise..the sonics are outstanding, every instrument and voice is solid, it's very warm and lush, with a wonderful 3d soundstage, I could not be happier

Great pressing, has an analog presence, drums are big, bass not that much but it works with the recording very well,I have the feeling that the uk one sounds very similar.

This is one of the best sounding records in my collection and I own over a thousand, couldn't be happier with it.
