- Great Reissue-Remastered Release...
Excepted the "Pops" on the B-Side (At the beginning, the first 20 seconds...) referencing French Traxx EP (12", EP) 590230
Either my copy is worn down a lot or the production / pressing is terrible on this, i love this record but it sounds really compressed?referencing French Traxx EP (12", EP) 590230
I'm almost certain that Moodymann took the chords straight off 'Sexy & Smooth' and used them on 'U Got Me Blunted Up' (1994). Just listen to the final few seconds of it.referencing French Traxx EP (CD, EP) 593230
"The First Time" samples the instrumental version of D-Train - You're The One For Me.referencing French Traxx EP (12", EP) 590230
This is an incredible EP. I wish I still had my copy. Don't waste your time with the remixes this is all u need.- Edited 18 years ago

I remember when I first heard "Dance Lady" on the radio, its "mysterious" vibe and sensual beat caught me right away. The name St. Germain was quite "foreign" back then. I have been trying to track it down for years and finally, 14 years later, got a copy, thanks to Discogs. It is indeed a beautiful deep house EP. It screams "early 90s" but can easily still be played today. "Sexy and smooth" feels like it came straight out of New Jersey. "Funky Attack" and "The first time" are contemporaneous of the house sound of that time: hard and soul. A must have. referencing French Traxx EP (12", EP) 590230
His first work, his best work. By far the best deep house record EVER made. They definately should have stopped with this one. I got in back in 1993, and it was the best purchase of the year.
