Rory Gallagher – Tattoo

Not a bad pressing. To hear the full dynamics, turn it up. Seems to be mastered well. Mostly quiet groove floor, separation is a plus. A great album by RG. I can take or leave colored vinyl LP’s but found this used in a local record shop and gambled on it. Glad I did. Very pleased. But…as mentioned…crank it to hear the full spectrum. Rory would agree!

There's no mention of the record label, no date and no country listed on the outer box. This is still sealed and I do not want to open it, so could use some info from someone else who might have an open copy of this release.

Rory is always best listened to live. Nevertheless, this is a great studio album.

Fantastic album with some of Rory's best song writing and playing. Although this vinyl pressing is clean and sounds crystal clear, the sound quality of the mix and master is very disappointing. It sounds compressed and the top end / treble is far too bright and harsh. It is completely devoid of bottom end / bass and the overall sound is lacking depth depth and tone. This is not how vinyl is meant to sound imo.

sounds great , mine had a poly inner sleeve, dont know if they came with them but i always love to see it because i know the record will be in good condition usually and it was pristine !

This is a great Rory Gallagher album.....strong writing, powerful delivery and incredible playing......not to mention the fact that this Sterling/Robert Ludwig cut really brings the goods ! Recommended.

Any more identifiers? How to tell em apart from the official.

I got this one, but on disc it says "Sample -Pressed in Hong Kong - (and something in chinese i believe)" . Someone else has this?

A Million Miles Away is a great song, overall great rock album
