Great reissue by Unidisc (put out at a time before reissues - with bonus tracks, remixes, etc. - really had become a "thing"!) And I think they got all the remixes here too, none missing.

Once AGAIN, another Black artist with absolutely NO representation of the matrix that is on my album. My LP has a completely different runout in the deadwas than ANY other pressing shown here. Here is what is additionally on my runout after the catalog number:

Just watched the videos listed on the side and Man! I don't remember the "Give Me Tonight" video being sooo corny! I think I've seen it maybe once or twice way back in the 80's and all I vaguely remember something shiny above her head! lol! Before she turns all "Goddess"(?), Miss Shannon looks just amazing! I have the 2nd video she made for the extended (or album) version of this song saved somewhere on one of my hard drives and it compliments the song so much better and not so outdated like the 1st video does. Even though I am a big fan of Cheesy 80's special effects, the 2nd video fits that classy style she sported then.
But aside from the videos, this is one of my all time fave albums that is on all my mp3 players I own. (Will never get tired of being "Whipped" by extreme High Voltage...)

A great album indeed, bought it myself back in the day and still have it (and in quite a good shape - why? because we used to tape all our records, so you had 90 minutes of playing time, otherwise - especially with 12" singles of which I have more than 500 -you had to get up every 5 - 20 or so minutes to put another reocrd on. Moreover, you could play cassettes everywhere - in the car, on the beach, on holiday, etc.). This album has almost all of Shannons hits - Except "Do you wannna get away" which appeared on her next LP (and is as far as I know her last real hit) and like "aeckles" already said in his comment it doesn't sound dated at all and it doesn't need any remixing IMHO. WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND - and this has nothing to do with the record or with Shannon - How can the Recommendations contain Wham's "Make it big"? (if it would be their first album "Fantastic"
                    - which has some great funky tracks - I would have no objections). But what have songs like "Wake me up before you go-go", "Everything she wants", "Careless whisper", etc. to do with the music of Shannon (whether you like the Wham-album or not) ? The styles of music are miles apart. Would like to hear it if anyone can solve this mystery (it's not the first time that I see a very strange recommendation appearing here on Discogs).

I hadn't listened to this since the mid-80s, and recently bought a used copy of the cassette and boy did it hold up to the test of time, musically speaking. What an amazing album. While Shannon's vocals aren't anything spectacular, they're good enough to catch yourself belting out the lyrics along with each listen. The arrangements are fresh, even by today's standards. Why can't there be music like this on the radio today? Despite its age, it doesn't sound dated to me. Songs like Give Me Tonight and My Heart's Divided could easily blend in today's catalog, and stand apart from the Rhianna's and the Sia's of the world. While there have been MANY reissues and remixes of the title track over the years, the original (and the remix included on this release) are in no need of being fixed. Each song stands on its own and requires nothing else to make them groove-worthy. On top of the great music, the sound quality of my cassette is particularly surprising. Very clear and crisp for a 33 year old tape. I'll be playing this one for a long time to come.
