Townes Van Zandt – Delta Momma Blues

Yea, my copy is really poppy and crackly throughout, even after a good cleaning and re-sleeving. A shame, the tunes are really good.

I heeded the complaints below and cleaned the record before playing it. My copy sounds fantastic (IMHO).

picked this up yesterday a little bit of surface grime and some loose paper bits from the inner sleeve, was able to clean it up very quickly. like 2-3 pops on the whole record not experience ruining though. great Townes record great opening track and man i love tower song one of my faves

Atrocious bootleg style pressing.
Fresh out the sealed copy crackles and pops through your side 1 intro. Then on one of the songs sounds of computer alerts and audio, so one assumes that whoever was converting this to wav file hadn’t isolated his sound card’s annoying habit of recording all audio and not just the lp he was ripping to digital.
What an absolutely crappy, lo level, cheap, waste of space this label must be.

Picked this up hoping to save some wear on my original Poppy pressing. What a shame. This is poorly done. Noisy and warped. Not even going to bother flattening it as I fear for the health of my stylus.

Excellent pressing with a nice deep bass, clear acoustic strum and up front vocals. I highly recommend clean poppy originals of all of Townes lps.

Such a huge huge shame: this pressing is really noisy. Still listenable (I mean, THE SONGS !!!), but loads of surface noise, pops, crackling, and no cleaning or washing did any good, no matter how many times I did it. Especially during Tower Song.

Lots of pops and crackles. Pretty bad for a brand new LP. I tried vacuuming it and using an anti-static gun on it to no avail.

Sounds like this might be a great Townes album but it's difficult to tell through the clicking and popping of this absolute dog of a pressing. Deep cleaning on a Loricraft RCM made no difference.
Shame, I was hoping for good things from Fat Possum.
