One of the best RVG sessions ever put to tape in TRUE MONO. Sonny Clark in INCREDIBLE FORM with GRIFFIN ALONE on tenor in a quartet. Other than a NM first press, this is as good as it gets. BG kicks knowledge about how to TRULY MASTER BN.
Unbelievably good sounding press, all the little handling and phrasing details of the sax is present. A fun uplifting album too

… love the sound of these Classic Records all analog mono series. So it is with this one. Gets one closer to the original. Super Vinyl Flat Profile Pressing by RTI is top notch. A fine bop release led by Johnny Griffin on tenor. … hard to understand why he is still so neglected by many jazz fans. Top RVG recording with either original mono recording or stereo fold-down. Nevertheless, a true Grundman mastering und fine pressing. Very recommendable!

Excellent pressing and a really accessible hard bop record. Warm and crisp sound
