- Edited 3 months agoPhenomenal pressing if you find it clean. Better than even the latest AAA remaster from RKS on vmp. It's more raw and tubey sounding, the remaster is smoother sounding for those who prefer that, but the vocals here are so much better

For me is this, one of the best Country Album of all Times.
I've had the luck to get this Germany Pressing from 1975 in NM. The Record Sounds Brilliant and the Pressing is perfect. Unbeliveable Dynamic and a very warm Sound. This is a really pure Analogue Production.
This Waylon Jennings Album is a must have for Country Fans, not only for them. This Vinyl Record make Dreams come true 😉 - I have a Japanese promo version of this [RCA-5240] with insert but no obi which certainly doesn't sound like Motörhead Orgasmatron (which is what I get when I search that catalogue number). I don't see that listed here. Anyone know anything about this?
- Did this man have a voice or what? I could listen to this every day and not get tired of it. I'd have a hard time picking a favorite between this and Honky Tonk Heroes, but I think I'd go with this one. As Neil Diamond states in his notes, you can see his soul through his voice. And the texture of the music matches his vocals with terrific musicians, such as Randy Scruggs and Johnny Gimble. Just beautiful.
- My copy seems to have this from the Indy pressing, but it's APL1 instead of AFL1 . . . but those other marks seem to be like mine. I'll leave it here for now.
Matrix / Runout (Runout Side A): AFL1 1062 A 1S ⁄|⁄ǀ⁄|⁄ǀ⁄|⁄K Ⅰ A1LL
Matrix / Runout (Runout Side B): AFL1 1062B 1S Ⅰ A4O - How the hell is there 7 guitarists on A1 if there's only an acoustic and electric? Plus, i didnt know Johnny Gimble plays guitar.
