I think scoundrel pretty much said it all, this album offers a nice variety of electronic music styles. I think "We Are Glitter" is worth buying for track 12 alone - what an amazing build and power does that song have!

Goldfrapp has never been afraid to embrace remixes, and on WE ARE GLITTER, they gather some from their album SUPERNATURE. Many of the mixes are aimed at the floor, from T.Raumschmiere's dark and growling take on "Lovely 2 C U" or Benny Benassi's straight up club mix of "Ooh La La." Ewan Pearson, meanwhile, explodes "Ride a White Horse" into a pure disco orgy, but Carl Craig puts a bleepy, Moroder-inspired spin onto "Fly Me Away." On the slightly less-dancey side comes the "Satin Chic (Bombay Mix)" from the Shortwave Set that makes the track a psychedelic tech-rock hybrid, while The Flaming Lips give that same track a thorough guitar-plucking. Múm offer "You Never Know" a marching rhythm and post-rock feel, while "Number 1" gets a bucolic atmosphere, like a Hawaiian vacation. Goldrapp aren't too shabby themselves, giving "Strict Machine" a deliberate and glam build. DFA, though, take the cake with their long, dance rock take on "Slide In." Let the glitter rain down!
