              Not as bad as many will tell you it is. These are pretty great tunes, strange as they may be. It's just that Slint hadn't found their distinct voice yet. Or if they did, Mr. Albini (admittedly as he regrets) stifled it with his influence in the studio. It does sound an awful lot like a Rapeman/Big Black hybrid. This reissue is dead quiet and mastered perfectly.

                  A slightly remastered reissue of their best record. Very harsh sound. If you like the tracks itself, that's fine, they are pushed forward incredibly. If you are more into their late 80s grungy sound, you will not really like this.
