(++) Got this album yesterday afternoon without having heard the name Sander van Doorn. I was intrigued by the cover art, the name of the album, and the name of the label (Ultra Records).
All I knew about the music I was holding was that it is of the electronic nature. Unfortunately as is usually the case, the actual style was not indicated nor did anyone within x-men psychic power range had a clue either. Fifteen bucks, I concluded it worth the risk so I bought it.
The peaks and valleys, the swells and currents, and that bass.. that strangely fuzzy-hard fuller-than-life B A S S - offset by an intelligent and stimulating array of high-energy synths and FX, all harmoniously mapped out into an audible testament to the classic method of trance, and the modern means of envigorating tech house.
seriously though.. that B A S S !! ;p
psidrometer :4/5: This album would have received a 5-star rating from me but there is a period in one track when the synths are just a bit to wild for my taste, and that turned me off.. but was quickly reassured by THAT BASS!!
I recommend listening loud with full range monitors & capable subwoofer, party flavors optional.

This album is fantastic! I was so amazed yesterday, when I could by this CD in my city.
Tracks like Riff, The Bass, By any demand, Grasshopper are well known even in Russia (I hope) & a perfect remix on Sia make this album full of hit-singles.
But one track makes me totally crazy - Apple. Damn, I heard it first time at van Doorn's Trance Energy set & loved this track immediately.
So, I recommend this album for everyone who likes high quality trancy & tech sound.
Excuse my english, please. I'm better in spanish.

More people need to know about Sander Van Doorn. This LP proves it.
I am currently playing and have played out about half of this LP in the last year!!
"The Riff", "The Bass", "Apple", "Sushi", "Pura Vida", "Back By Any Demand", Sia "The Girl You Lost To Cocaine" are the ones i'm on - right now "Sushi" is the biggie.
It's difficult to sum this LP up apart from saying good. I initially only wanted "Pura Vida" off it, but as time goes on, i find myself purchasing more and more tracks (apart from the edits) off the LP.
Essentially it's Techno that seems to have been accepted by not only the Trance heads, but also the House heads and the Techno heads alike.
For me right now, Sander Van Doorn is the most consistant producer around at the minute.
