Reviews
- Really wanted to hate on this so bad, but I just can’t. It’s been on semi-hard rotation ever since it arrived. Mark’s production is on point as ever. Which leaves Thom….just depends on where you sit with his vocals really. The tracks where he’s relegated to the ether (like on ‘Ice Shelf’) work best for me. But equally the hits (’Back In The Game’, ‘This Conversation is Missing Your Voice’) also functioned as skewed self-contained pop components.

What a pressing! It sounds amazing, flat and silent.
The album is yet another delight from Yorke's craftsmnship. More experimental than usual, but stimulating for the earsreferencing Tall Tales (2×LP, Album) WARPLP323
my copy is absolutely flawless. A few pops on last track, gone after one Humminguru cleaningreferencing Tall Tales (2×LP, Album) WARPLP323
Very bad pressing, lots of noise which is annoying because the music is wonderfull. I returned TWO (!) copies, same issue.referencing Tall Tales (2×LP, Album) WARPLP323
My copy was bad, especially during the quiet parts. I can usually deal with a small amount of pops and clicks, but not when they detract during quiet passages. Returned for refund.referencing Tall Tales (2×LP, Album) WARPLP323
If you can,I managed to get a limited edition of the album on CD released in Japan, and this version has a bonus track called "Iceshelf" (instrumental), I have a friend in Japan who sent me a copy. I also have the beautifully produced UK deluxe version that comes in the form of a book which I also really reccommend as well. I suspect this Japanese version of the album will soon be selling at huge prices online. But the nonus track on this version is actually a stunning addition to the album- As a long term fan of Radio head and all of Thom Yorke's solo albums as well. I was really looking forward to this collaboration alnum being relased, and I was not disappointed. It's a stunning album. Thom has such a distincive voice, and it blends perfectly with the electronic sound of this album. Stand out vtracks for me are "White Cliffs" and "This Conversation Is Missing Your Voice" I love the quality of the packaging/sleeve,the inner booklet is really niceley printed,I love the texure and look of the main cover. I was lucky enough to get a copy with the bronze coin and te little envelope it came in. But I think a lot of copies had tthe coins removed/nicked by people which is sad. I also have the deluxed CD edition that also came in a book form as well. The coin is actualy a reallu lovely object and I can't wait to see what it's future use is going to be. This might be one of my favourite albums of 2025 so far. I love the front cover image is of a re-sculpted version of Rodin's 'thinker' figure and that this is sort of echoed in the bronze coin. I didnt't consiously got out looking for a viynl vesion with tthe bronze coin, and the store where I bought my copy, the owner had no idea how many of the copies he had came with the coin,I was just lucky on the day my copy did come with the coin, the design of the coin echoes the art of the artist Paul Klee. A realy astoundingly good album that I love the more I listen to it. People trying to find the bronze coin made me think of Wonka's golden ticket. I hace no doubt the coin will turn up on online auction sitesat inflated prices

Thom Yorke: needs no introduction; a humble lovely bloke in the flesh. One of the most unique & instantly recognisable voices in the world of music. Counts Neil Young as an early 'muse', according to interviews.
Mark Pritchard: UK electronic legend / one half of landmark 90's ambient outfit 'Global Communication' / wonky funkers 'The Jedi Knights' / detail obsessive veteran producer with more musical 'hats' than the Legried's. Scarpered from the UK back in 2004/5 to the sunny shores of Oz.
TOGETHER? Absolute GIFT. Feel spoilt rotten by this collaboration. a rare thing to cherish. Radiohead fans should not be disappointed; 'Tall Tales' is every part as accomplished, if a little less commercial due to having no obvious 'anthems'. The same for those who know MP's output; or more to the point, those who appreciate his eclecticism & abilities with a huge array of styles.
Already a legendary LP within a month of it's release, and that's no tall tale... - This is a first rate pressing and the songs are phenomenal. A strong contender for album of the year.

I’ve lucked out? Never had an issue with warp pressings and this is no different. Absolutely stunning. Last track might be by design but is not as clear as the rest of the record. Record one is the strongest of the two musically. But overall a fantastic release that goes out to challenge society and its lack of action against corporate control and the digital assimilation. Bravo.
