Leonard Cohen – Songs From A Room

Very good sound, nice remastering. Worth every penny. Bought it for 10€

if this pressing plays the songs from a room album with the correct tracklist then isn't this a misprint and not a mispress?

This sounds clearer and far superior to my original pressing. I don’t think this was ever intended as an audiophile recording so you gotta just live with the way Mr Cohen intended it, warts and all.

I heard that Kevin Gray had cut this most recent round of Sundazed pressings so I sought one out. I’ve been praying at the church of Leonard Cohen for almost thirty years, and this pressing of Songs From A Room sings. I can hear the orchestration in Bird On A Wire better than I ever recall- and I have an original stereo promo copy.. this stands up so well- sounds fantastic. Gotta hunt down Kevin Gray’s other LC cut albums now…

Fantastic pressing. Sounds fantastic. Dead quiet, solid, flat and comes in an anti-static inner sleeve. Why can’t newer pressed records be this good?

Really nice sounding pressing. Clear and present without being amazing. A very satisfying listening experience.

Great repress, vinyl is dead quiet and sound is excellent. They probably have done some kind of respectful remastering.

Not an actual Cohen copy, I assume it was mispackaged at the factory because when I opened it from shrinkwrap there was a Byrds record inside.

Does anybody else have this issue?

In some ways Leonard Cohen got progressively better with each album (all the way up to Songs for the New Ceremony). And yet, his calibre was so high that it's not like you could point to any earlier album and say it was in any way less impressive. What I love about Cohen's progression is how much more instrumentally rich his albums got. Songs From A Room is a great follow up to "Songs of...". It has all the passion and beauty of his lyrics, and his pop sensibilities are still underappreciated to this day. To think he started off largely as a poet, but there inside him the whole time was one of the greatest songwriters of his generation. Songs From A Room is more evidence of that.

I have a copy with the exact runout listed as 'variants 2 & 3' here, but the spine and CD both say CD 63587, not CD 32074.
