Packaging on this release isn't great. Very similar to the "Say You Will" release with 2 records in a single jacket although this release at least comes with lots of printed sleeves instead of plain paper rubbish. No number of sleeves were enough to stop both 140g records being warped from new though... Overall I'm not as impressed with the mastering on this re-release as FM, Mirage or TITN. FM and TITN in particular sound stellar but maybe they always did... The vocals on some tracks such as "Sisters Of The Moon" are quite low in the mix and other tracks just sound a bit off or lifeless where others sound pretty good. I'd love an original to compare so I could make a more informed analysis of this remastering.referencing Tusk (2×LP, Album, Reissue) WB 66 088
F*** me - there are many variations of that release...since I tried to identify mine I got the feeling that there are a lot of infos missing, especially in the BAOI of some versions + there seem to be mixed bags in the labels used. Especially in the way the rights society GEMA and BIEM are printed. Sometimes not at all, sometimes close to the "SIDE" Info, sometimes far away - even mixed versions of both and GEMA only labels.
I could not find a single variant that was matching my variant completely - but the BAOI seems to be complete here. Attempt is nearly impossible..only thing I know it must be a reissue from around 1982 to 1985, and I bought in a German store.
Get the impression that in the way BAOI is used there is vast improvement on identifying the real version - as sometimes there are different labels used, but the metalwork seems identical - is this a pressing variant then or not?
There might be a slight chance in the end, that the store i bought the disc has mixed up some versions that have been on sale there back in the days. Stays this way until I find more detailed info.- I have an original mint pressing and I can say that the vinyl in this package absolutely trounces it. Sounds incredible.

Incredible sound on this pressing. Considering this album as a chaotic masterpiece from FM, it is one version to look for. Dynamite!- Edited 5 months agoHonestly. I have the 24/96 hi res file of this cd. And it matches the sound quality about 90%. Good for the cd bad for the file...which I love and have many in my hi res collection. But sometimes the original cd is that good. Def worth a hearing if you dont want to spend a ton of cash. Of course your dac/cd player is critical here.

What a beautiful pressing... Really nice packaging and awesome sound. This is, in my opinion, one of the best (if not THE best) Fleetwood Mac LPs, and this release does it justice!referencing Tusk (2×LP, Album, Reissue, Repress) R1 3350
Sounds incredible! A perfect pressing g in all regards. Jacket and sleeves are a little wonky, but I just stored the vinyl in their own polys.
Tusk is an underrated album for sure, and definitely worth a listen. Dead flat vinyl, silent sound, and great dynamics.referencing Tusk (2×LP, Album, Reissue, Remastered) 531909-1

Slightly confusing although both very capable sound engineer's.

Tusk is the 12th album by the British/American rock band Fleetwood Mac. Released in 1979, it is considered experimental, primarily due to Lindsey Buckingham's sparser songwriting arrangements and the influence of punk rock and new wave on his production techniques. Bassist John McVie has commented that the album sounds like "the work of three solo artists" (Buckingham, Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie), whilst Mick Fleetwood later proclaimed that it is his favourite and the best Fleetwood Mac studio album created by the group. Costing over one million dollars to record (a fact widely noted in the 1979 press), it was the most expensive rock album made up to that point.
Tusk peaked at #4 in the US, spent over five months within the top 40, and was certified double platinum for shipping two million copies. It peaked at #1 in the UK and achieved a Platinum award for shipments in excess of 300,000 copies. The album gave the group two US top-ten hit singles, with the Buckingham-penned title track (US #8/UK #6), and the Stevie Nicks composition "Sara" (US #7/UK #37). Tusk was a double album, with a high list price of $15.98 ($52.44 in 2014 dollars)
