Fleetwood Mac – Fleetwood Mac Live

Picked this up for a real bargain, £12. Excellent package. Really nice sound quality pressing.

Phenomenal sounding pressing. Solid bass, clear vocals, great soundstage yadda, yadda, yadda…etc. If you have a copy i dont believe you need to look elsewhere.

This isn't one of those live albums that blows you away with scorching, incendiary performances, but at the same time, it's interesting to hear these songs stripped down, without all the studio polish. "I'm So Afraid" is the one song that "scorching and incendiary" could apply to, with Buckingham shrieking and jamming like a rabid man. It's a nice concert recording, if a bit boomy at times, the drums and bass are very high in the mix, and Fleetwood's drumming is impressive throughout. My copy is in nice shape, with a couple of pops and crackles here and there, but plays mostly clean and quiet.

My pressing matches all other details for this release listing with the exception of the runout matrix on Side A indication the plate came from Winchester (WW2 as opposed to JW2), but has the Jacksonville "O" etched. Perhaps a plate went down during production and they had to borrow from the other plant. "B" side has no indication of origins from Winchester, all Jacksonville information. Same for C/D sides.

Classic live album and a essential for any Fleetwood Mac fan. My copy is flat and sound is clear. Great album to have in your collection from one of the best bands in music history.

This pressing sounds absolutely phenomenal! Chris Bellman did a wonderful job cutting this as the dynamics and soundstage are amazing. The vinyl is dead flat, clean, and silent. This incarnation of Mac during this period was an incredible live act and this release truly captures the sound perfectly. Everything is mixed so well.

Get one while you still can!

This album is extremely quiet! Soncically it is on point. For a live album the separation is really good. Of course Riachar Dashut and Ken Callat produced this recording. The records were pressed in Germany.

At the height of its powers, the band delivers an irresistible set list with all the anthems. Maybe the production is a little flat and raw, revealing a little too much reverb on vocals and drums. Some of the performances could have been more inspired.
