- I only have the bonus 7" (to complement my MOV pressing) and I'm amazed how good it sounds. I can only guess that it benefits from the 45 rpm cut or does the regular album sound that good too?
- Shame that Bernie Grundman is credited for mastering on here. He mastered the original, not this one. Avoid this garbage

Can anyone who has this specific test pressing prove that is has The Secret Song, Platypus, and the Nothing song at the end of Merry Go Bye Bye? If it does, this would be the only pressing of Disco Volante to contain all of these songs. Please DM me here if you can prove it, thanks! :3- this is the best pressing of this album you could ever get and i don't see any other pressings coming close, the secret song on a hidden groove is absolutely insane, this album is a very quietly mastered record already (on all formats), so make sure to clean this one for less surface noise, anyways, one of the greatest albums ever made & an absolutely amazing pressing. PS: turn your stereo up LOUD for the bends
- Edited one year agoJust so you know - this (as well as the other MOV pressings) is pressed from the cd. Trey Spruance revealed this in an interview on The Vinyl Guide podcast (episodes 180 and 181). He knows, because he owns the original master tapes and no one approached him.
- This has to be the best sounding press of this album, i haven't head the Plain Recordings one but literally everyone is saying its bad, so i'm going to trust that. We really need a 3 sided 2LP of this, with the double grooved Carry Stress In The Jaw and with Platypus in between Backstrokin and Merry Go Bye Bye. The Self Titled and California had very good treatment by MOV, sucks the best album didn't get it as good.
- Edited 2 years agoI REALLY really hate how they did this. If Carry Stress was its own track without The Secret Song then Phlegmatics couldve been A7 and Platypus couldve been added back. Why the HELL was this done this way???? The Secret Song was supposed to be track 0 on the CD (which didnt work out due to some legal issues) and was a paralell groove on the original press. Sucks how much of a mess this album is on vinyl, this is their best work imo. Also, theres a noticable amount of silence in between each track, it kinda seams together on the CD/tape. The other MOV reissues are fine, wtf is up with this? Oh well, having this is better than not owning it on vinyl at all. Sounds fine on my end, just super annoyed with the way it was done.
