Mine, purchased in 1981, has the yellow and black label and the comic book

Worth it for the artwork and comic if you're a big fan of this band (as I am). I can only compare this remaster to an earlier pressing of "Compilation," where all of these tracks (and more) appear. This remaster is definitely a bit meatier, but at the expense of some clarity and separation. Still, this is an excellent release and a very good place to start if you're just now getting into the Clean! For me, I'm glad to have these tracks on a new slab of wax, as my copy of "Compilation" is far from mint.

Here it is…the grandaddy of all Flying Nun records….Boodle Boodle Boodle from The Clean.
It must be said that this little EP paved the way for a surge of brilliant guitar based music from the nether regions of this great country of ours.
Whatever…this is just awesome music you must own, and listening to the original vinyl is the only way to go, check it out…
Side one kicks off with the frantic jangly strum of “Billy Two” with David Kilgour’s fresh faced voice jumping off the wax, while brother Hamish bashes away in the back.
Next up we’re into the weird beat of “Thumbs Off” with Bob Scott’s gooey vocal and a raucous distorted gat in the middle section which gives way for the lovely strum of “Anything Could Happen”, surely an anthem for the times.
Flip the disc and you get the brief, reverb laden “Sad Eyed Lady”, which lopes off to usher in the mind melting magnificence of “Point That Thing Somewhere Else”.
Cast your Velvets comparisons aside and bask in Hamish and Roberts sublime locked groove while David noodles off into the golden guitar sunset.
            Pure brilliance…
