The English rock band The Police has released five studio albums between 1978 and 1983.
Synchronicity is the fifth and final studio album by British rock band The Police, released 1983.
The album's original cover artwork, designed by Norman Moore, was available in 36 variations, with different arrangements of the colour stripes and showing different photographs of the band members, taken by Duane Michals. The most common version Sting is reading a copy of Jung's "Synchronicity". In the USA and Canada a good majority of the pressings were issued on audiophile vinyl which appears black like most records, but is actually purple or brown when held up to the light.

Anybody know why "Murder by numbers" was omitted on vinyl and why is it added to the digital / CD version?

Just sublime - a perfect pressing in every respect. Buyers need to be made aware, that not every record pressed in Japan, has had the bottom-end shaved off. It will generally depend on whether the pressing plates have been shipped from the US / UK etc. This is an unknown factor, as Japan record labels will then add their own matrix codes. As others have echoed here, this pressing sounds incredible, and you will be beyond satisfied with this purchase. The standout track on this pressing is ‘Wrapped Around Your Finger’. Bass for days !- If anyone has a copy of this I'm willing to pay up to $100 AMERICAN DOLLARS!!!
- Great album beginning to end. Sounds like the Police. That’s all that needs to be said. The pressing sounds great as well.
This is the only release I found that matches my side A runout - SP-03735-A-RCA6 MASTERDISK RL - but my album cover is not BRY rather it's YBR and side B runout is the same as side A except it's RCA-6. Also, side A runout includes A3A while side B includes A3C. I found no other similar SP-03735-A-RCA6 MASTERDISK RL in the YBR front cover.

One of my favourites in my collection right now. Everything cuts through perfectly (especially the bass!) and Copeland's snare is bright and snappy. Awesome dynamics as well. The fact that I may actually appreciate Mother just because of this record goes to show how good this pressing is.

Amazing depth to the production.
Own many 1980s Japanese records.
This stands out amongst them all
First day release of this particular pressing is still the best of my 6 copies. Mostly good fortune, as you cannot go back and make stampers and tape new again. I'll add that of all the pressings I've heard, they are all within a hair of one another. Seems the goal of a very consistent production was achieved.
Superb mastering and pressing. Sonically fantastic. Needs a touch more volume, but the RL mastering is top notch and the vinyl has a super low noise floor.
Overall good sound. My copy is very quiet and sounds good dynamically unfortunately, however, Every Breath You Take on side two sounds very compressed.
