The Man Machine is the milestone of Kraftwerk and, in general, of the genre of electronic music that influenced bands like Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys and all the electro-pop and synth-pop bands of the 80s but also dance music (The Acid House, New beat, Techno). The best songs, in my opinion, are The Model, The Robots, The Man Machine and Spacelab but the whole album is still great.

Just got this from my local record store, sounds amazing, dead silent, very balanced, vinyl has a beautiful red, booklet's cool (even if a bunch of pictures don't really add anything to the album, I wish there was some info in there), overall an enjoyable experience.- My best sounding LP. Clean, punchy, well defined. Just perfect. Pay what you need to for a VG+ or above.
- Fantastic press, the sound is very good . The inner sleeve is the actual OG cover. Plus the pressing contains a beatiful photobook.
- My copy has a barcode sticker 0 603497 911431 on the shrink on top of original barcode and sticker "Made in Germany" on the back, under the shrink. Everything else matching this release.

From the first note of Kraftwerk's "Die Mensch-Maschine," I was thrust into a world where man and machine merge in perfect harmony. This album, which has become a cornerstone of electronic music, feels both retro and remarkably ahead of its time. It's not just music—it's a vision of the future as seen through the lens of the late 70s.
The repetitive, almost hypnotic rhythm of "Die Roboter" feels like an anthem for a new era of human-machine synergy. I found myself mesmerized by its simplicity and precision, embodying the album's central theme: the growing interplay between humans and technology.
"Spacelab" continues this futuristic journey with its ethereal melodies and cosmic ambiance. It's like a soundtrack to an interstellar voyage, conjuring images of vast, unexplored galaxies. The combination of lush, synthetic textures and clean, minimalistic arrangements is nothing short of captivating.
One of the standout tracks for me is "Metropolis." Inspired by Fritz Lang's classic film, the song weaves a narrative of an industrialized, automated city. The driving rhythms and layered synths evoke a sense of relentless progress and the underlying tension between man and machine.
"Das Modell" is an absolute classic. Its catchy melody and clever lyrics critique the superficiality of fame and consumer culture, yet it remains undeniably enjoyable. The song has a timeless quality, resonating just as strongly today as it did when it was first released.
"Neonlicht" is another highlight, offering a more melodic and somewhat romanticized view of modernity. The shimmering synths and gentle rhythm create a nostalgic feel, almost as if it's a love letter to the neon lights of the cityscape.
The closing track, "Die Mensch-Maschine," perfectly encapsulates Kraftwerk's philosophy. The pulsating synths and steady, robotic delivery of the lyrics highlight the band's unique ability to blend human emotion with machine-like precision. It's both an acknowledgment of technological advances and a reflection on what it means to be human in this new age.- Edited 3 months ago

Labels looks like glued and not factory pressed. I’m sure in it. Many submissions of testpressing of Kraftwerk from most.player looks like as a fake. - Left channel collapse in "The Model", 2:35, when he's singing "posing". This channel collapse is more present and accentuated in the UK Capitol version CDP 7 46039 2. The remaster clearly attenuated this collapse but did not get rid of it.
- What is the version where that last song's synths wecome quietly 3-4s before the song starts? I mean... all CD's had no that reversed reverb...
And those fake 180g's CD--> vinyl without any remake -millennium-vinyls had no that reversed echo..?
