Reviews
- The reissue of Blutsabbath took a very long time, but still this damn day has come. To begin with, it is worth noting that this album is strikingly different from The Last Supper, as if it were recordings of two different bands - although there really were changes in members, the structure of the material changed first of all, there was a more attention on both Black Metal and the raw sound, and more melodic and atmospheric parts appeared. However, the essence of the hells ambassadors here has received an even greater embodiment. By and large, the Belphegor that we know begins with Blutsabbath, it was here that the recognizable form of their music and the main expressive techniques were formed.
The vinyl press is objectively not bad, although as always it could have been done better. In terms of sound, everything is quite good, a little quiet, but the relief and dynamics are kept in mastering. Vinyl of a standard weight of 140 grams, the usual red color. My copy came new from the label, unfortunately, there is a lot of sand and noise when playing. In terms of design, printing is a fairly regular level, but a heavy insert pleases. In comparison with the version from Funeral Industries (according to open sources, since there is no personal copy), some illustrations and photos have been removed. A normal regular press for the completeness of the collection, but without much enthusiasm for the product.
- A most excellent album! The splatter looks nice on this, & the sound is just as good as the cd version from back in 1997.
