referencing 輪廻交響楽 Ecophony Rinne (CD, Album) VDR-1200
Anyone can confirm if this CD does have peak limiting on the first track?
On a rip I found it seems to be present on the first track, It's pretty surprising for an 80s CD. The 90s CD doesn't seem to have that form of peak limiting but it seems more dynamically compressed and boosted on the lows. The AQCD seems to just be a peak limited version of the 90s CD.- If anyone has a reissue they would be willing to sell, DM me please and thank you.

- In regards to the mastering and sound quality, what is the better CD? VDR-1200 (1986) or VICL-23091 (1994) with its "20-bit K2 mastering"?

Edited 5 years agoSound quality isn’t fantastic, but it’s not too bad either. I’ve definitely heard worse bootlegs. Music is incredible though. Absolutely unlike anything else I’ve ever heard (other than their other records of course). It’s one of those LPs that really take you on a journey.
