- Edited 2 months agoOrchestral strings and break-beats may sound like unlikely bedfellows, but they work a treat on both tracks here. "Supermoves" is a belter of a big beat track, with fast and furious drums, Prodigy-esque bleepery, heavy metal guitars and Tom Jones grunts. ★★★★★
"Cold Rock" is a more sedate and funky affair, combining triumphal strings (lifted from Ron Goodwin's theme to Hitchcock's 1972 thriller "Frenzy") with shuddering beats. Better than most tracks on Overseer's debut album, it was presumably left off it due to copyright issues. ★★★★☆
- Supermoves is a piece of track in fact the first time I heard it was like soundtrack in animatrix and wow made me explode the mind, best track of this artist
- Supermoves, super sound. I like "Coldrock" a lot. Quite funny and very sentimental Big Beat sound. I think it ha(s/d) the power to get a part of the Wreckage album. But sadly, there was no more space for it.
- Edited 17 years agoSupermoves is a one rockin' tune !!! it has been used in many movies and anime ( Snatch , Blade , Animatrix etc. ) and not counting football ads on tv ....but it seems very rare to find in the shops on vinyl ; i had found about 5 copies of this in the discount basements in different times and i came to think it was impossible to get this for more than 50 cents!!!
Nevertheless a great record worth much more than that , very energetic drums and straight to the dancefloor sounds but for some strange reasons forgotten in it's vinyl form.
