I love how warm and dynamic it sounds compared to all the previous reeditions on CD (I've never heard an OG though, but the CD mixes were always dry and treble heavy). And don't forget the thick sleeve with the included huge vibrant poster !
However the disc was charged with huge amount of static upon the arrival and even skipped sometimes.
After giving it a wet clean the problems went away.

Just a heads up if anyone else had this issue: mine was skipping in parts, and small threads of vinyl seemed to be 'peeling' off the record when it was played. After months of procrastinating, I finally got around to cleaning it, and it plays immaculately well now and the peeling of the stips has stopped. I wonder if it was left in a hot spot / in the sun at some point in the transportation process.

One of my first introductions to this genre, and one of my favorites. This pressing sounds amazing and super clean. The poster is icing on the cake too. Definitely recommend picking one of these up

Vinyl is clean, flat, and ultra quiet, didn't hear one single click or pop...the quality is remarkable. The instrumentation and dynamics are flawless, as to be expected of this jazzy city-pop genre. The music is light, airy, fun, and uncomplicated (though not uncomplex!), perfect for a summer afternoon. The last track is a funky, synthy disco masterpiece, worth the price of admission alone. Easy 5 stars.

insanely good for what's supposed to be an unofficial reissue
heck it almost sounds official too!
i wonder if they sourced it from a well preserved og copy....

No for real, this bootleg is one of the best-sounding records in my collections and that's genuinely saying something. It is DEAD QUIET and dynamic af.

I have both MASTER CUT and the reissue blue vinyl that came out a few years ago. The MASTER SOUNDSt is recorded with much better volume, crisper than the reissue blue vinyl is lacking, I had to turn it up 20-30% on the dial than usual records . One less track is true on this version (missing キスカ) but worth it for the recording.

I knew this boot was supposed to be good (shame on me, I've passed on the official re-release last year), but wow, this pressing is amazing.

I wish i had an OG or a reissue to compare as this thing doesn't sound digital at all nor it seems coming from the copy of an old LP.
The record is flat, totally clean & has ZERO pops! You don't get such QC even on more expensive LPs from legacy artists.

The only criticism i could find came from the cover & co: the outside is a bit flimsy, the inner is present but a bit different than the OG and, of course, there is no poster nor any Obi. The reproduction of the artwork is totally fine though.
But, since you can get this copy for 6 times less than an OG, i guess there is nothing to complain here!

Stumbled upon this at my local record store, brand new, and I knew I had to have it. Went home, listened to it, and then looked up the record company here on discogs and saw that it was a bootleg. This is the best bootleg I have ever seen for anything and legitimately thought it was official even when listening. Can't believe I'm tipping my hat towards a bootlegger

This reissue is spectacular. I bought it to replace by VG+ condition OG copy. The blue vinyl looks and sounds amazing when being played on my setup. I will say one thing I noticed is that that the reproduction cover art is a little soft, it's more noticeable when comparing the "Music by" column compared to the other bits of text on the back cover. It's likely they grabbed the art used for the 1983 reissue (which lacks the text) and made some adjustments from there, but hey, I'm not complaining.
