Lovely album but why remove a song? Buy an original or older remaster. This is worthless

Ugh, I bought this right after it came out in 85, it disappeared at a party in 87. I was in Florida for Thanksgiving, yesterday I went to a local record store, saw it for $21.00 and thought “damn that’s a decent price” I usually don’t check Discogs for reviews of records I’ve heard before on labels that are supposedly reputable. I should have. Now I need to buy another copy

So this actually appears to be a new release. Negro Observer is not omitted in my version. The track listing and all text on the center label is orange instead of white. The runout is really hard for me to read but it looks like 22123 and then a series of symbols. Anyone else have this? The record store clerk, who is also the buyer, told me he just got it in, and that the band was involved in this release. If anyone has this and can create a new entry, please do. I'm still new to this and not ready for that responsibility lol. But this pressing is very good to my ears and has the full track list

Great job documenting the differences pressings! I was gifted two crates of d punk and new wave albums and this record was still sealed so I had no idea which version it was.

Omg, how I wish I had known the moral police were on board for this release! I made the mistake of pre ordering the first three Matador re-issues. Good to know that Matador fully endorses censorship and my-way-or-no-way ethics. We aren't going to church or an enlightenment class. We're buying a f*****g Butthole Surfers record!! I'm surprised they let the band use their name! This is the last time I buy anything from Matador. Are Yo La Tengo and Queens of the Stoneage next in line to be censored?
....Had to come back after blowing off steam and realized the Butthole's , and not Matador's request. But I still don't like it. Nope, don't like it at all.

I was about to hit the purchase button on this but so glad I checked here first. A song is censored? Who was the moral coward that agreed to that? The band, the label or both?
I thankfully have both black and clear 1984 releases of this that were bought new and are still mint. The current day virus has infected a band with such integrity. What next? Remove tracks from Dead Kennedys or Sex Pistols LPs?

I'm so disappointed that the band was somewhat forced to remove "Negro Observer" & shortening "American Women" frankly, i don't understand why they are on Matador. They were released on their own label Latino BUggerveil and those re-release sound amazing and slightly better and punchier than the original pressing

Censorship is shameful and doubly so when it is a band like this
