like this album like all there records except a grave new world too bad they didn't do an album in the style for the ignorance ep that type metal punk fusion is great if a grave new world would have sounded like that it would have been praised by punk's and metal fans alike.

As Cal has stated they're always criticized by some for having heavy metal style lead breaks in their music they were always leaning toward heavier stuff than just punk. they actually invented hardcore punk the d-beat came from Motorheads Overkill album!
        Not a punk band!
I think it's when funny when people criticize them for being a metal band or heavy.. they always had those elements.
the band had natural progressions as they've stated you cannot play the same thing for 20 years.
they did what was in their heart.
what more Punk than that especially if it pisses people off.

By no means resembling any trace of their early scum punk beginnings, this is a straight up hardcore groove metal album - Imagine if Guns N Roses "Appetite For Destruction" era line-up covered late 1980's New York hardcore like Agnostic Front. Simplistic as 1-2-3, tough guy riffs pummel the song along, while Cal's vocals resemble more AC/DC than anything from the punk genre. On the surface, an easily dismissed DISCHARGE album to the purist fans, yet beneath... a raging and uncontrolled alcoholic-junkie of an album covering every sphere of internal and external attacks and destructive addiction.
