One of those "so good I better buy 2 copies for when one wears out" records, which I did. I ended up with the 1999 repress and the 2014 reissue and decided to play them simultaneously on my sound system (Xone96 with Marantz amplifier and B&W tower speakers) to check how they compare sonically. Here are my findings:

        1999 repress:
        - slightly lighter (155g disk + inner sleeve)
        - brighter highs, particularly noticeable on the drums (claps, snares, hats)
        - A-side is SLOWER (lower bpm) compared to the 2014 reissue
        - B-side is FASTER (higher bpm) compared to the 2014 reissue
        - length of the tracks is longer! when beat-matched (so the songs play at the same tempo) all 3 of the tracks play a couple seconds longer than on the 2014 reissue
        - my copy is slightly warped

        2014 reissue:
        - 10g heavier (165g disk + inner sleeve)
        - less treble and more saturation/distortion in the highs, particularly noticeable on the drums (claps, snares, hats)
        - A-side is FASTER (lower bpm)
        - B-side is SLOWER (higher bpm)
        - length of the tracks is shorter!
        - some people commented saying their copy is warped but mine is fine (whereas my 1999 repress ironically is slightly warped)

I hope this helps anyone who's looking for a (second) copy. All in all I think both versions sound great, the differences are very minor. I think the type of mixer, speaker, cartridge etc. used will have a bigger impact on the sound of these than the differences between them. Neither of them sound super clean and I don't have the original release to compare, but I'm happy with both of my copies. Also worth noting I've had these for over 10 years and have played them out at least a handful of times.

The repress runs 45 rpm on A side, 33 rpm on B side.

B1 is sampling DJ PIerre's work on Joint Venture "Master Blaster" (1992) https://www.discogs.com/Joint-Venture-Master-Blaster-Turn-It-Up-Somewhere-In-Space/release/61613

Great 12", 3 Classic cuts, A1 & B1 are the two main tracks on here with B2 being on a very similar vibe to B1.
A1 is simplistic sounding track, that simply builds slowly all the way through with a very simple groove and synth stabs, to create an amazing track,
B1 is a filter driven track, with a nice disco loop dropping in and out of the track, again sounding quite simplistic, but as often is the case less is more,
This 12" still sounds great today.

My repress is perfect - note the phone number is different on the label compared to the original pressing ;)

The B1 track contains samples of "Joint Venture - Master Blaster" (1992).

Digital release available of KMS Records in web stores is rubbish!
                        Who did the master ¿...?
                        Don't buy it!!!
