Avengers – Avengers

I have what I think is a variant of this, but the rings on the label intersect the lettering at different points. The matrix is the same as listed here (omits porky prime cut etc.). Does anyone have the official release and this release? Does the official sound different?

Both of my copies are on translucent purple when held to the light. Both have PRCC1-1-1 in the Side A runouts (not PRCC1-1), same pressing ring diameters, etc.

Only difference is the outer sleeve, where one version has text on the spine and the other does not. The latter has a light white border on the back.

Pretty damn good reissue! Nice quality packaging and rice paper lined inner-sleeve. Pick it up

I love that this is as affordable as it is.

I have all four official cd versions of this(just missing the 2000 "Lady Butcher" issue, so I can't vouch for that one), and the one that sounds the best BY FAR is still the old 1989 cd presents version that says "made in U.S.A." on the disc(stay away from the 1989 "made in Canada" disc, it's NOT the same master and sounds too loud and compressed just like all the reissues). It's a shame too, because that Water 2012 two cd set has LOTS of great stuff on it, it's just too loud to really enjoy it, just like pretty much all cds since the turn of the century.

Pretty sure I bought this from the guy who owned the label. He was selling newer blue pressings in the original covers that were rejected by the band before release and were supposed to be destroyed. He found a box of the covers and started selling them.

The orange vinyl and purple vinyl pressings are the hardest to find.
