This 2019 digital AAC album version looks to be the same as the original 1990 analogue cassette version I had. It had the most tracks by far and of course is now hard to get, so it's great to see the download version available. Paradise was a house club classic. I can't remember which single it was a B-side on originally. Pablo Special K, another club and rave early morning or mid-afternoon come down classic, also used to segue into real ambient trance sessions. The original Pablo version was great too, I think after the cassette Blissed Out, it was the only of the much club and rave played A-sides and B-sides not to make it onto an album.

It was excellent to find one of their early house tracks, Acid Love, even then in the early 90s. From two or three years before, and with endless deep dance music experiences in between, it seemed like an old lost friend, lost between Shoom for example, Hacienda, Oakenfold's amazing Streatham club whatever it was called and early outdoor spaces. I used to ask Coldcut to play it in some room over some London pub they DJed at in the early days, and they often did, between the crazy scratching and beats symphonies.

Acid Love also reminds me of the last times I felt that gathering outside between late Autumn and early Spring was anything connected to being cold. Learning came quickly. You move, of course, dance, forever, and you're roasting, one of their other early tracks advised. Forever Dancing (not on any version of this album).

It's such a pity that now inaccessible era was vacuumed up strangely to somewhere beyond. What a time!

Great music, but lousy pressing with a lot of background noise. Hold out for the CD.

Maybe the choice of mixes were not the best ones on this compilation.as far as I know there are other mixes on the 12" singles that never made it to CD and are far much better but it's not a bad compilation of 12"singles.also includes the only official mix of The Sun Rising (Norty's Spago Mix) on CD (a must!!!)

The album is remixes of the songs on "Happiness". I really like "Happiness". It sounds light and melodic but when it's on a big system it's a fantastic Madchester bug-eyed monster of an album. But I hate this pointless affair myself. It's too dippy hippy vaguely trancey to my mind - the original is tight and focused but this just seems to drift on because it can. If you want drifty " morning after, can't sllep music" I guess it's OK but why not do it properly and listen to mellow jazz instead, frankly. The best bits on this are those which are the least altered from the originals. Most of the quality here is because it's based on a quality work. I'd certainly recommend "Happiness"to anyone but not this, sadly. It's a shame, but that's the way I see it. I honestly don't feel it's got a lot to say considering the quality of the source material. I've really tried to like this but I just can't.
