Beautiful. No issues. It's dynamic, quiet, and the packaging is very high quality.

As others have said; this is what a record should sound like. Great dynamic pressing. Nice booklet, gatefold sleeve, and insert. The only slight snag is the inner sleeves are too tight. Definitely the best release of the album.

Those familiar with this album may have noticed, as amazing as the music is, the original (2006) digital & CD versions sounded a bit muddy and flat. So this Vinyl Me Please release comes as a welcome surprise. A worthy remastering and repackaging of this modern day classic. Spins at 45RPM... the sound is perfectly rounded, full, dynamic, warm. My only complaint is the two record pockets are so super tight, the vinyl is a struggle to get back in (the printed booklet is tucked in with the first record, while a very nice "deluxe" bonus, does not help matters). I had to swap out the poly-lined paper inners that came with it for some slightly thinner archival sleeves to get them to go in smoother.

The sound and the packaging are high quality. Reminds me of the detail and care put in with the Blue Note Music Matters Jazz series.

Is there anyone else who have this reissue and have a problem with an indentation in the vinyl? Mine has one in track A6 that causes an audible pop when the needle passes over it. It looks like a manufacturing defect.

So far, the album of 2006 in my unasked opinion. Although they don't sound like Massive Attack, this release reminds me of Blue Lines to an extent. "Hours," the second track, has a similar disjointed hip-hop flair stylized with short but effective brass injections in the vein of "One Love." Similarly, the pre-requiste reggae excursion "Five Man Army" of the latter is complimented by the quasi-anthemic "A Method" here. However, what they both share and ties them together the most is the unique atmosphere each presents to listners. Massive Attack has a sultry, dark, trippy vibe whereas this opts for a more "shoegaze" aesthetic characterized by trance-inducing haze. The harmonics may be much for some but they are effective and memorable. Unfortunately, I don't feel the last two tracks to be quite up to par with the rest of the album but this may change and doesn't negate the overall effect of Return to Cookie Mountain. What this release does do though is establishing TV on the Radio into potential major players for the casual music listener.
