Eric Clapton – Slowhand

A very nice Canadian slab of vinyl. Nice & clear given that is a 43 year old pressing. Eric is in the groove from the first track "Cocaine" and even though the album is laid back, it is never boring. Best track by far is "The Core."

Mastering Lab mastered pressings doesn't disappoint. Very dynamic and big soundstage. Bass is big and goes deep. My recommendations.

I suspect that 'Mean Old Frisco' is not genuine written-by Eric Clapton. It borrows heavily from Arthur Crudup 'Mean Ol' Frisco'. So the correct entry should be 'traditionel' or 'Arthur Crudup'. It is interesting that on the backcover track 8 has no author mentioned, whereas on side B of the record EC appears as originator. This is called 'cultural appropriation' if not plagiarism.

Very nice release. Good dynamics. Solid Pallas pressing with almost no surface noise. I can highly recommend this one.

Great reissue - flat, clean and mastering is detailed and warm - bass is the big winner here. Artwork is a little thin, but overall, a solid edition. Note: I had no issues with track 4 side 1, as reported by other reviewers. The vocals are a little louder in the mix than on other tracks, but there’s no distortion.

This 24-bit 96kHz remaster sounds amazing. If you could play the master tape at home any time you wanted this is likely what you'd hear.

$330? I got my copy for $1. Even sealed, I am kind of shocked that someone paid that much. It could have a pressing defect or be warped...

Nice set but ridiculous design of the package. Who’s strike of genius was to construct the box in a way the set can not be removed without causing damage??? And the glue to keep all together??? My set fell apart immediatelly I opened it

Excellent release. The sound is awesome - soft, detailed and wide. Great packaging - thick gatefold cardboard and print quality.

My copy is VG at best, but even at that, it still sounds amazing. Great piece of music, definitely recommend using headphones
