Excellent pressing. Very quiet. Beautifully done. Recommended if you come across it.
A much quieter pressing than the previous Clear pressing from 2013. LP 1 is dead silent. LP 2 has some surface noise on side 3 but not overwhelming and less noisy than the clear pressing.- Disappointed in this pressing. It has more surface noise than it should. It's not unlistenable, but it's not great either.

Has there ever been a realease in a jewel case? (I hate those cheap
digipacks)- I had major issues with this pressing when I bought it a few years ago, specifically with a deformity on Side 1 that affected tracks 3 and 4. I got two versions direct from IDIB and both had the same issue. Hoping it was a one time thing, I subsequently got the pink version and it plays beautifully!

Amazing album, quality pressing as well. Great this is published on vinyl. My favorite sides are B and D, but best is to listen to the album in full, the best trip.
I can only compare this remaster to the digital I've been listening to since release. This is clearly an analogue master and sounds grittier and "filmic" to add to their aesthetic. It's especially noticeable on the vocals and bass. I think it mostly sounds great, especially on Back From the Grave - the bass guitar running up to the chorus is so thick and forward in the mix. I prefer the digital version of the title track though because the stereo separation splits the intertwined guitar solos and somewhat dampens what I'd consider the highlight of the album. This is just SO GOOD. Allow yourself to get sucked into their weird world, and the Chromatics will take you places.
