A seductive stark song with minimalist sounds that cries of longing. Görl does a great job with his voice, it fits perfect with the mood of the song. Even if D.A.F had done this in their heyday I don’t think that Gabriel "Gabi" Delgado-López would have been able to catch the vulnerability that Görl showcases so brilliantly with his voice.
DAF was a force to be reckon with in the beginning of the 80’s but this single proves in my opinion that Robert Görl could had stood alone and done a hell of a job. Unfortunately we never had a chance to experience more of this brilliancy, because of the goings on in his personal life. The Paris tapes could have been his master piece if he had finished them. referencing Mit Dir. (7", Single) 7 MUTE 027
mit dir is a brilliant track,
i found it by chance and from that moment on i was suprised for a long time. i could not imagine that 4/4 bassdrum was played that early in a german music track. unbelieveable but true, this song is a starter to any ppl that like depeche mode or front 242. the only difference is that mit dir is a quite song in 127 bpm with easy listening sound effects. so no overloading in the sound rather to say minimalistic. the b-side is a track reminds to a track from OFF-jr is dancing pogo. the b-side is nothing worth to me. if you buy mit dir get a hand a the 12 " version. it is by far the better version.
robert görl : tahnk you for this track. very good emotions in it, a little dark. somehow reminds me to some kraftwerk sounds.
this is a very, very early german production that still fits in a tekkno set from today. i still cannot believe it !!
