Reviews
- Love this album but what a sad pressing/release for a major label. Side D is trash… the noise in Telephone practically ruins it and the bonus track Honey sounds like it might as well be sourced from an MP3.

Excellent album finally available on a great sounding pressing. Thom Yorke once started a dj set with The Healer.referencing New Amerykah: Part One (4th World War) (2×LP, Album, Reissue, Purple, Gatefold ) 00602438283477
Excellent pressing.
Silent wax, dynamic, highly recommended.

I really like this pressing. Vinyl is flat and mostly quiet after ultrasonic cleaning. Not the most dynamic recording but some good soundstage depth. Not the widest soundstage, but not too bad. Any limitations I believe are due to the recording itself. If you’re a fan of Ms. Badu, I highly recommend.referencing New Amerykah: Part One (4th World War) (2×LP, Album, Reissue, Purple - Gatefold) B003399401
Could someone please post the vinyl color? I'm curious if it's the same color as volume II.- Edited 9 months ago

Nice pressing although I am unable to compare to the first edition. This edition has a pretty full spectrum of sound, it’s richly detailed and punchy. The vinyl is purple, regular weight (a little dirty from the plain white paper sleeve = disappointing). Will save the grumbles and complaints, I am just happy to have a vinyl edition of this beauty.
This is probably Badu’s most potent album. Songs are really well crafted, Blessed with wonderful collaborators like Madlib, Bilial, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Thunderkat, and Sa Ra Creative Partners - top drawer people who serve the compositions. Lyrically, New Amerikah is a politically conscious album. The songs are offered as healing tools and are meant to enlighten the mind. 15 years since its initial release, its messages are relevant and timely. The music still vital. May not be everyone’s cup of tea but it reaches its audience. referencing New Amerykah: Part One (4th World War) (2×LP, Album, Reissue, Purple - Gatefold) B003399401
The OG Pressing has more bass and dynamics including some tape hiss from samples, this version is a great pressing but sounds like it has had some noise reduction applied to it and the bass isn't as dynamic. Still, good pressing all around!- Edited one year agoTrue, the vinyl is not dead quiet. In fact the noise at the beginning of "Telephone" really distracts. Still, the record sounds much better than my CD. Most of the tracks are good quality vinyl. "Twinkle" and "That Hump" stand out, "Me" with Roy Hargrove, Thundercat bass on "The Cell," the two Madlib tracks. A worthy purchase.
- I have an edition of this CD, which is identical except for "Honey" being unlisted on the outer sleeve. It does however feature on the end of the CD and in the booklet notes.
- Great, interesting production, and Erykah’s personality/ writing makes this project very consistent and fun, and very emotional at times (like on telephone)
