Reviews
- Edited one month agoI review pressings, not mastering, and I can say this pressing is incredible. It is functionally perfect. Dead quiet background and not one pop/click to be heard across either album side after cleaning.
Regarding pressing quality, I highly recommend this.
EDIT: I just wanted to add, as someone else mentioned, the cover image is supposed to be blurry. On this version and others, if you look at the band name logo, it is clear. - A lot quieter and not as balanced as the standard black pressing. But love having this in my collection regardless

This is THE pressing to own! I'm not keen on coloured vinyl (it's just a gimmick after all) but for some reason this pressing sounds better than the black.
I'm fortunate to own both and performed and side by side test on a high end system and the white vinyl pressing has more depth and seems to be cut louder than the black (which isn't bad BTW!).referencing Live Through This (LP, Album) EFA 04935-1
So is this one legit or a bootleg? Looks like the original white vinyl had a pink heart on the labels.. same with the standard black. Is this an early repress on City Slang?- Beautiful tranparent pink stained vinyl. Very nice sounding record, no surface noise or static on mine !!
- Edited one day agoLovin this press! Crisp vivid sound with clarity and depth. GREAT at volume 11! Cleaned ultrasonically prior to play for optimal results

Okay, I compared this original City Slang pressing on black vinyl with the 2016 reissue. Regarding the cover, the original is a bit shiny, unlike the matte reissue. The image quality is exactly the same for both, and neither includes a printed inner sleeve. I prefer the brighter label of the original.
As for the sound, it’s clear that the original DMM version is the winner. It sounds more vibrant, with greater detail and a good balance between low and high frequencies, immediately capturing your attention. The jangling guitars, push-pull dynamics, and Courtney’s sighing and then screaming vocals truly come to life in the original.
The reissue sounds decent but no more than that. At the same volume (considering the original is also significantly louder), the reissue sounds somewhat flatter and muddier. - Edited 9 months agoOkay, I compared the original City Slang pressing on black vinyl with this 2016 reissue.
