Can anyone comment on the difference in sound quality between these two pressings, http://www.discogs.com/Beach-House-Beach-House/release/2166327 and http://www.discogs.com/Beach-House-Beach-House/release/4115045 ??

Dreamy and ethereal. That's the best description for Beach House's eponymous debut. "Saltwater" has a slow, hazy lo-fi quality that remains for the length of the album. "Apple Orchard" swoons with its Thorazine-inspired guitar bends, and "Auburn and Ivory" takes a waltz tempo and turns it into a dance of melancholy. "Lovelier Girl" returns to the dreamy, while "House on the Hill" has a more nautical feel. Though Legrand's voice quavers a bit and doesn't consistently hold pitch, it adds to the lo-fi feel. A nice vacation home nonetheless.
